Carmela Tal Baron – Three Poems

While Tripping

While tripping I caught

a snow flake in mid-air.

A frozen blossom

in a white crystal,

revealing

a dormant flower

with a starry heart;

a flake wandering

among drops of water, as

the wonder melts away.

Water

This body of water

that ran

through my dream

last night

runs through the tap

now,

awakening

the cellular memory

of my skin.

A Rose of Light

In a moment of deep

l i s t e n i n g

to breath and breeze,

I lifted my hand

to draw

a rose of light

from mid-air,

for you.

Loving you

makes me feel

like a magician.
